Getting Started: Goals

The first step is always the hardest one to take. Once you decide to begin your fitness journey mentally, you need to get to work physically. Doing so with no plan however, only sets you up for failure. So, my first tip: Have a goal(s).

First, set your ultimate goal. It is important for it to be both ambitious and obtainable.

Second, be specific. "I want to lose weight", will not cut it. Lose 20 pounds in 2 months, gain 5 lean pounds of muscle in 6 weeks, improve my 40 yard sprint speed etc.

Third, although weight and aesthetics are important, they are not everything. Pay attention to your improvements in speed, strength, rest between sets etc.

Fourth,  set small goals that will lead you to your ultimate goal and celebrate when you reach them!!!!

Lastly, ENJOY THE PROCESS! Find something you love to do, train with a partner, find a way to truly enjoy training.

P.S. - If you have no idea where to begin. ASK! I will be happy to help.
